The Alchemy Junk website is a collaboration between the Interactive Media students at Fanshawe College and Alchemy Junk, a small company based in London, Ontario. The overall aim of the project was to build a fresh, new website which embodied the client’s vision and allowed the company to enhance their online presence.
Alchemy Junk was built using advanced and modern web technologies. It was created using Foundation Responsive Web Framework, HTML5, CSS3, PHP and the CodeIgniter PHP framework. Alchemy Junk was comprised of a visually pleasing front-end design, and also used a back-end framework to allowed for dynamic content and scalability of the site and its content in future. With a strong emphasis on visual aesthetics and the implementation of interactive elements, the focus was to trigger a surge in traffic and as a result, expanded their reach to the local community. Online Sales Catalogue Database of items that can be searched and sorted. Easy accessibility for customer. Minimal & simplistic exterior. CMS Ability to adjust page content and images through a UI. Add, adjust, and edit catalogue items.

The company’s logo is a representation of their dedication to the earth’s resources. Through the utilization of sustainable removal methods, and of upcycling and recycling, Alchemy Junk is able to help their clients clear their properties with optimal time efficiency and friendly service.
